Breathe Easy

About

By giving yourself time to relax, even if it’s only ten or twenty minutes a day, the body responds, the mind becomes calm, and the harmful effects of prolonged stress are counteracted.

Stress hormones can wear out the body’s reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body’s immune system and cause other problems.

Breathe Easy provides proven relaxation techniques for all ages. To purchase, either click the download link or buy CD – enjoy and breathe easy!

Approach

This cd is for everyone, including children and consists of three very powerful techniques:

  • Progressive muscle relaxation: Tensing and relaxing muscle groups.
  • Diaphragmatic breathing: Breathing deeply into the belly, rather than the chest.
  • Mindfulness method: Observing and being aware of your body.

Overall health benefits: slows your breathing and heart rate; reduces muscle tension and chronic pain; reduces anger and frustration; lowers blood pressure; improves concentration; increases blood flow to major muscles; and boosts confidence in handling problems.

Background

Since the devastating earthquakes and ongoing aftershocks in Christchurch, I have come across so many people who are tired, unable to sleep, depressed, unable to relax, anxious and have an increased sensitivity to stress. I thought this was a perfect time to put a cd together that would help people affected by this disaster.

Most people suffer from stress, in various ways and at different levels. By empowering yourself in learning to breathe properly and relaxing your body and mind, you can counteract the harmful effects of prolonged stress.
